NEXT ROUND BREWING

NEXT ROUND RETURNS TO WPC26!
The Next Round Brewing Project is a joint venture between Clean Water Professionals of Kentucky and Tennessee (CWP), and local stakeholders in the water industry to educate the public on water reclamation and reuse. As water stresses continue to grow globally, it is important to educate the public about the challenges and changing relationships communities will face with their water. While Tennessee is a water rich state, some local cities have begun looking at water reuse and how it can be used to better their communities. Beer, made of approximately 90% water, will have different flavor profiles based on the mineral content and quality of the water used. Breweries are therefore an ideal partner to showcase the potential water reuse has with the public.

Meet This Year's Participating Breweries
Burl Brew
Named after the distinctive growth found on trees that symbolizes resilience and character, The Burl was built around community, creativity, and authentic connection. What began as a grassroots music venue evolved into something even larger with the addition of Burl Arcade and, most recently, Burl Brew in 2024. Today, guests can enjoy live entertainment, vintage arcade games, and locally crafted beer in a space that celebrates Lexington’s culture and spirit. Rooted in passion and shaped by the community it serves, The Burl continues to be a place where great music, great beer, and great people come together.

Brewer Dude
Brewer Dude combines engineering minds, entrepreneurial spirit, and a love for craft beer to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for all. Whether you’re a dedicated craft beer enthusiast or just along for the experience, Brewer Dude offers a laid-back space where great drinks, good company, and community come first.

Versailles Brewing Company
Built on roots in agriculture, public service, and local connection, the brewery reflects the best of its community—from farm-to-table ingredients sourced locally, to a commitment to sustainability and supporting area farmers. Today, Versailles Brewing Company is more than a place to enjoy craft beer and food—it’s a gathering place where community, local agriculture, and friendship come together in every pour and every plate.
