Shooters of all skill levels are welcome - beginners included!

There is an inherent danger with any firearm. To mitigate danger, a mandatory safety class will be presented during lunch prior to taking the field. The Jefferson Gun Club has a document with their safety rules that you must read and sign during registration. There will be multiple safety officers on the course. Finally, your team members will help you if you have any questions. We encourage you to watch this safety video in advance.

No. There are two forms that must be read and signed (“Jefferson Gun Club Safety Rules” and “acknowledgement, assumption of risk, release of liability and indemnification agreement”) plus a mandatory safety meeting conducted by Jefferson Gun Club Safety Officers. The Safety Officers will be with the shooting teams once we leave the club house. All participants must be registered by 11:30am to take the field so that shooting can begin promptly at 12:00pm.

There will be no gun rentals available for this event.

No, the registration fee does not cover the cost of ammunition. It is recommended that you bring your own ammunition.

Only 7 ½, 8 or 9 shot shells are allowed.

Casual and comfortable attire is recommended, but you may wish to avoid baggy clothing. Please wear closed-toe shoes.

Be sure to bring these with you as they are required and will not be provided.

No. Firearms and alcohol do not mix. Alcohol is prohibited prior to or during the shooting event.

Yes. We are also accepting individual registrations and will fill up teams with any openings accordingly.

All final names are due by May 17 if possible. We will have volunteers onsite to assist with check-in and to allow for last-minute substitutions. Individual and team cancellations are accepted through May 17; sponsor cancellations are accepted through May 10.

During onsite registration: Both the AWWA/CWP Waiver and the JGC Waiver must be signed onsite by each shooter prior to the event.

Yes. However, we always encourage carpooling when possible to reduce our carbon footprint and allow use of the HOV lanes when available.
