Operator Meritorious Award 

EXCELLENCE IN WATER PLANT OPERATIONS AND DISTRIBUSTION SYSTEM OPERATIONS AWARDS

To nominate a water plant or water distribution system, send the name of that system along with contact information including phone number and email address to one of the Honors & Awards Committee Members listed below. Note that, if a utility is nominated for both the treatment plant and the distribution system awards in the same year, there will be separate review processes for the respective awards.

Award criteria include: water quality, operation records, maintenance programs, professionalism, safety, emergency preparedness, use of innovative technology, plant and/or system security, and staffing. Also note that if the utility has received a notice of violation in the past year (excluding CCR violations), they are not eligible for the award.

There will be one winner for each category in each state, with exception that the large plant award, and large distribution system award will be selected from Tennessee nominees this year, alternating from year to year according to the annual conference location. 

 

OPERATOR MERITORIOUS AWARD

There will be one winner in each state. To nominate an operator, send the operator’s name and contact information, and a letter of recommendation explaining why this person is being nominated, to one of the Honors & Awards Committee Members listed below.  Don’t be afraid to toot your own horn!  No one knows your system operations and operators better than you!
