Gordon Holcomb currently works as part of the pretreatment team in TDEC’s Nashville Central Office. His background is in metallurgy and materials science (PhD, Ohio State University). Prior to pretreatment he worked for the US Department of Energy to develop high temperature alloys to enable carbon capture of CO2 during power production. This included designing and operating flow-through autoclaves for supercritical water and CO2. He was the US Task Lead on Oxidation in Supercritical Fluids in the US-UK Collaboration on Fossil Energy Advanced Materials (2017-2019).
