Description
Community water systems are required to review, revise where applicable, and recertify their Risk and Resilience Assessments (RRA) and Emergency Response Plans (ERP) to EPA every five years from the original deadlines specified in the law. Many water entities will be reviewing, revising and recertifying their RRAs and ERPs from the first round. Once these efforts have been completed, what is next for the RRAs and ERPs? Will the just “sit on a shelf and collect dust” or will they be used to build an actionable Emergency Preparedness Program?
This presentation will outline how to take the information in the RRA and ERP that has been developed and use that information to build an Emergency Preparedness Program (EPP). This includes the different elements of an EPP, training and exercising your plan.
