Mr. Shane Snoderly was appointed to the position of Director of Public Works and Engineering on January 1, 2019 for the City of Alcoa where has been employed since December 2012 as an engineer. As Director of Public Works and Engineering, Shane is responsible for Water & Wastewater Utilities, Stormwater Utilities, Alcoa-Maryville-Blount County Landfill, Street Services, Sanitation Services, Engineering, and Fleet Services. Prior to coming to the City of Alcoa, Shane was a supervisor for the Tennessee Department of Transportation’s (TDOT) design survey office. Shane is a 2000 graduate of the University of Tennessee Knoxville where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He received his license as a professional civil engineer in 2004 and also become a licensed professional land surveyor in 2015. Shane also holds his Grade 2 Water Distribution Operator and Grade 2 Wastewater Collection System Operators licenses.
