                                        Description
This class covers typical technologies for flocculation in water treatment and their advantages and disadvantages. The hyperboloid shape, originally popularized in the US in wastewater treatment, has shown to optimize flocculation processes and other shear sensitive applications. This class will show case studies where computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling uncovered issues with existing flocculation systems and evaluated options for correction. The class will include retrofitting capabilities, energy savings, water quality improvements, and process optimization.
