For the nearly 4,000-person Town of Jasper, Tennessee, their wastewater treatment facility was experiencing challenges due to all partial-mix lagoons being full, a lack of proper contact time in the chlorine basin, and increased infiltration and inflow, resulting in consistent permit exceedances. After receiving a State of Tennessee Consent Order, Croy’s Municipal Utilities team evaluated various options to mitigate these inefficiencies and prevent future violations in a timely and cost-effective manner. Join us for this presentation as we walk through the process of navigating a consent order for a small town from receipt to remediation. We’ll explore details of the process including how to remediate the sewer treatment plant, permitting for sludge removal, reduction of I&I and continuous efforts to coordinate and report to Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC).
