Workshop - Drinking Water
Description

Building a comprehensive approach to LCRR implementation doesn’t happen overnight. It’s an evolution process of figuring out what works and what doesn’t for your water system. This presentation will highlight the various components of Louisville’s LCRR Action Plan and summarize the progress made on shifting strategic priorities to privately-owned service lines, changing business culture around lead and galvanized pipe, and implementing operational best practices to move the needle on lead risk reduction across all aspects of the LCRR. The presentation will highlight lessons learned on inventory, pipe material verification, service-line replacement strategies, field procedures for disturbances and risk mitigation, protocols for residential and school sampling, and development of digital tools for managing various LCRR workflows.
